What Now? July 2010
What's on my iPod in heavy rotation at the moment?
Not much, a little disappointed in this summers tunes...
The Black Keys :new album Brothers is pretty great, and I'd say is one of the top albums I'm going through at the moment. Bluesy good times.
The Glitch Mob: "Drink the sea" is a wicked album that pretty much goes down anytime, instrumental electronic awesomeness is pretty much how I'd describe that one.
Dan Black: I'm listening to him a bit too... not sure if it's cheesy or not but I seem to be playing more than once so I must like it a little bit. Poppy electronic summer fun music.
That's kind of it at the moment, I'd love some suggestions if you'd be so kind.
Have a great summer...
PS. I've been slowly working on some new material for the next album, and it's coming along nicely.

Video for "Final Breath"
Final Breath from Dave Righton on Vimeo.
I bought a new Canon Rebel T2i a few weeks ago and went out on a walkwith Tyler to do some video tests with it. We weren't planning on doing anything with itbut it kinda turned into a video for "Final Breath".It's sort of weird doing a video for an older song but, who cares it was fun and it fitwith the music.

the Zombie
Did a cover song of "Zombie" by the Cranberries and decided to release it as a single through iTunes on April 27th. I originally hoped to release it as a free download through this site but due to the song license restrictions and copyright law it's now a US only iTunes release. Hopefully this region will expand as I figure out different publishers for different zones etc. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out and excited for the release. Here is the art work that will go along with it.
The version has been described as "a gorgeously creepy, post apocalyptic version".

Council Estate (ROCHE LIMIT REMIX) by rochelimit
Council Estate (ROCHE LIMIT REMIX) by rochelimit
This is a remix I did for the Tricky song "Council Estate" in 2009. Nothing ever happened with it so I thought I'd post it up here. Hit the play button to stream it or click on the little arrow on the right hand side of the player to DOWNLOAD it for FREE!!

iPod Listening:
Fever Ray - (mellow electronic)
Karin Dreijer Andersson from the Knife goes solo for a while and releases an amazing CD. Her music videos are great too, highly recommend checking them out. I've been listening to this quite a bit lately.
The XX - (mellow folktronic)
I read somewhere this album being described as make out music for the new generation, I guess that's a good description of it but way cooler than it sounds.
The Beatles -Revolver (remastered release)
Pretty much my favorite Beatles album, now sounding even better.
Pucifer
Maynards side project to do what ever he wants with, and he does. Sounds good to me.
the Eels - End Times
Kind of depressing album but an Eels classic.
Watching:
Spaced (season 1&2) - Simon Peggs weird comedy
Dexter
Breaking Bad
Life
Playing PS3:
Dirt 2
NHL 2010
Little Big Planet
